Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and group support for students with a wide range of needs.
  • Assist in delivering tailored learning plans and interventions.
  • Support emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies.
  • Encourage engagement with the curriculum and promote independence.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Contribute to individual progress reports and participate in review meetings.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in a school, care, or youth work setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A nurturing, resilient, and adaptable attitude.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE, NVQ in Supporting Teaching & Learning) are advantageous but not essential.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
