About the Role:
As a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will play a vital role in supporting students both academically and personally. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being and independence of those in your care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one assistance tailored to each student’s unique needs.
- Help students develop essential life and learning skills.
- Promote participation in social and community-based activities.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to implement personalised learning plans.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating space for learning.
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting individuals with SEN, ideally in a school or youth setting is advantageous.
- A caring, patient, and understanding approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and colleagues.
- A collaborative mindset and a positive attitude.
- Relevant training or qualifications in SEN support are desirable.
To work with GSL Education as a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
