As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the individual learning needs of students. You will play a key role in creating an inclusive and supportive environment where students can thrive academically and socially.

Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:

  • Plan and deliver lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEN (Special Educational Needs).
  • Assess and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning requirements.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, parents, and SENCOs to provide comprehensive support to students.
  • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning.
  • Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding practices.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably in a classroom setting.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to teaching.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • An updated CV (covering the last 10 years, with no unexplained gaps).
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
