This 150-year-old family business employs over 450 staff members and encompasses 19 builders merchants, 7 kitchen and bathroom showrooms, 8 tool and plant hire centres, 4 timber centres, and 2 timber engineering centres.
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled, analytical, creative, and detail-oriented Visual Merchandising Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the customer experience and drive sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Profiles & Activity Analysis: Continual analysis of customer demographics, preferences, visit patterns, in-store hot-spots, conversion rates and their trends.
- Optimise In-Store Layout: Implement strategies for most effective use of space.
- Improving the in-store experience: Adjusting the customer experience according to their preferences with elements such as store decoration, music, uniform, lighting, etc.
- Design & Implement Promotional Displays: Design and execute displays to maximise conversion rates and/or showcase new products, special offers, and key categories.
- Collaborate with Sales, Commercial and Marketing Teams:Work closely with the sales, commercial, marketing teams and suppliers to ensure that visual merchandising aligns with overall marketing strategies and sales goals.
- Maintain Store Standards:Ensure that all visual merchandising displays are maintained to the highest standards, including cleanliness, organisation, and product presentation.
- Stay Updated on Industry Trends:Keep up to date with the latest trends in visual merchandising and retail design to bring fresh and innovative ideas to our stores.
Qualifications:
- No experience with building supplies required.
- Experience in merchandising.
- A degree or better in Visual Merchandising, Retail Design, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical and creative skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Drivers licence required.
Core Terms:
- Location: Across Sydenhams Group
- Hours: 08:00-17:00 Monday to Friday
- Starting Salary: £35-45k
