Automation Specialist - Bioscience Laboratory

About the Role:
We are working with a renowned bioscience company looking for a motivated and innovative Automation Specialist. You'll collaborate with scientists to develop, troubleshoot, and maintain automated workflows on advanced liquid handling platforms, helping accelerate scientific discovery and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and troubleshoot workflows on liquid handling systems (preferably Tecan Evo).
  • Translate manual lab processes into automated workflows in partnership with scientists.
  • Maintain and resolve issues on liquid handling equipment.
  • Train and support scientists on automation usage.
  • Create SOPs and contribute to equipment selection and lab modernization efforts.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in lab automation roles, ideally working with liquid handlers.
  • Strong workflow development and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with scientific teams effectively.
  • Organized with excellent attention to detail and multi-project handling skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with lab equipment integration and automation.
  • Programming knowledge (Python, C++, C#, R, SQL, or similar).
  • Familiarity with IoT devices, microcontrollers, or device integration.
  • Design of Experiments (DoE) and image analysis experience beneficial.
