  • The Candidate Consultant role focuses on attracting, vetting, and supporting educators within a tutor network.
  • Candidates should have previous experience in recruitment, customer service, or education, although it is not essential.
  • This hybrid position offers a competitive salary based on experience and involves building relationships and matching tutors to placements.
  • Key responsibilities include onboarding tutors, ensuring safeguarding compliance, and maintaining accurate records.
  • The role provides opportunities for growth within the organization, with ongoing training and support in relevant areas.

Our Candidate Consultants are the heart of our tutor network. In this people-first role, you'll be responsible for attracting, vetting, and supporting the talented educators who deliver life-changing tuition. You’ll work closely with the senior consultant team to meet demand, fill roles, and create a warm, supportive experience for every tutor. You’ll also play a key part in developing our presence and reputation through clear communication, creative outreach, and relationship-building.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and onboard exceptional tutors for a wide range of SEND and alternative provision placements.
  • Conduct interviews, ensure safeguarding checks, and complete all onboarding documentation.
  • Build strong relationships with tutors, supporting them throughout their Education Boutique journey.
  • Match tutors to placements with careful attention to learner needs and tutor specialisms.
  • Help maintain a clean, accurate CRM and tracking system for candidate availability.
  • Drive business growth by building positive tutor referral networks, online presence, and local educator engagement.
  • Represent Education Boutique confidently across social platforms, networking events, and candidate-facing activities.

A Day in the Life:

As a Candidate Consultant, your days are varied and energising. You might start by screening a new application from an ex-teacher looking to shift into 1:1 SEN tutoring, then host a friendly onboarding call to help them feel welcomed and ready. Later in the day, you could be matching tutors to specific roles, supporting them with safeguarding queries, or working alongside the consultant team to meet a last-minute placement request.

You’ll also spend time creatively networking—building referral pipelines, reaching out to potential candidates on LinkedIn, or spotlighting opportunities on social media. Every day brings the chance to connect, communicate, and make a real impact

Opportunities to Grow:

We believe in nurturing talent from within. As a Candidate Consultant, you’ll receive ongoing support and training in safeguarding, SEN awareness, and recruitment best practices. You’ll also have the opportunity to progress into a Consultant role. As our organisation grows, you’ll grow with it: surrounded by a team that champions innovation, celebrates initiative, and shares a passion for meaningful work.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in recruitment/resourcing, customer service, or education (desirable but not essential).
  • Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence in managing conversations, building rapport, and following up proactively.
  • A people-person who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented, remote environment.
  • Passion for inclusive education and a desire to be part of something meaningful.

Location: Hybrid (office and set day remote with travel to events and networking opportunities where necessary)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience
