Job Scope:

We are recruiting a compassionate and proactive Deputy Manager (RGN/RMN) to support the leadership of our clients 42-bed nursing home, which offers high-quality nursing and dementia care in a safe and nurturing setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled nurse ready to step into a leadership role that combines clinical practice with management responsibility.

As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the home. The role is split between supernumerary duties and hands-on care, allowing you to both lead and support your team directly on the floor. Youll guide the delivery of personalised, person-centred care, while also overseeing clinical standards, audits, and regulatory compliance.

The Deputy Manager will play a key role in mentoring staff, contributing to recruitment and training, and promoting a positive, resident-focused culture. Confident and caring, the Deputy Manager will also act as a point of contact for families and external professionals when needed.

Job Qualifications

  • Active NMC registration as an RGN or RMN
  • Previous experience leading teams within a care home or similar healthcare environment
  • Solid clinical expertise with the ability to make confident, informed decisions
  • Compassionate and approachable, with a strong focus on person-centred care
  • Well-versed in CQC standards, compliance, and safeguarding protocols
  • Clear communicator with excellent organisational and time-management skills
