Asa Support Worker for Children,youwillplayakeyroleinprovidingasafe,supportive,andnurturingenvironmentforchildrenandyoungpeople.Youwillwork todeliver high qualitycare,supportthem emotionally,physically,andempowerthemtoachievetheirfullpotential.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Provideday-to-daycareandsupporttochildrenandyoungpeopleina various settings (including homecare and day services.)
  • Ensuretheemotionalandphysicalneedsoftheyoungpeoplearemet.
  • Implementindividualcareplansincollaborationwiththeexistingstaffteamandotherprofessionals.
  • Promoteandsupportthesocial,andrecreationaldevelopmentofyoungpeople.
  • Helpyoungpeopledeveloplifeskills,includingindependence,self-care,anddecision-making.
  • Maintainaccuraterecordsanddocumentationinlinewithpoliciesandprocedures.

Skills&Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Experienceinworkingwithchildrenandyoungpeople.
  • Understandingofchilddevelopment,safeguarding,andchildprotectionpolicies.
  • Abilitytobuildstrong,positiverelationshipswithyoungpeople.
  • Goodcommunicationandinterpersonalskills.
  • Abilitytoremaincalmandprofessionalinchallengingsituations.
  • Acommitmenttomakingapositiveimpactonthelivesofyoungpeople

Desirable:

  • Knowledgeofrelevantlegislationandsafeguardingpractices.
