- A specialist setting catering for students aged 4 to 16 - a wide age range!
- The main need the students present with is Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- There are also overlapping needs, such as mental health and social and emotional needs.
- The school focus on a very child centred approach - ensuring that each child feels supported and able to access their education in the same way as their peers
- Each student has their own dedicated intervention plan, specifically set out with their own targets
- The role includes working with a student, or a small group of students, 1 to 1
- You will ensure that all students are following their intervention plans, while supporting them with reaching their individual targets and age-appropriate milestones!
- You will also support their mental health by modelling healthy coping strategies and helping them work through their emotions
Many of the students at this school have a difficult time accessing their education. This school place a huge importance on ensuring that every child feels included, and that they are getting the most from their education!
