Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a national Charity based in Bradford to appoint a  Senior Finance Officer. 

About the Role

As a Senior Finance Officer, you’ll play a key role in managing and maintaining our financial systems and ensuring accurate financial reporting. You are responsible for providing essential support to the Finance function.  Leading and delivering operational day-to-day finance functions, you offer accurate and timely financial information to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts

  • Maintain financial records, process transactions, and oversee reconciliations

  • Support year-end accounts preparation and liaise with external auditors

  • Oversee Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Credit Control and reconciliations

  • Work closely with project managers to monitor budgets and expenditure

  • Lead on payroll, pensions, and HMRC submissions (with support as needed)

  • Provide financial reports for the Board of Trustees and funders

About You:
  • AAT qualified OR QBE 

  • Experience in a similar finance role, ideally within the charity or non-profit sector

  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, budgeting, and reporting

  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and Excel

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team
