Description
In this busy and varied Senior Finance Officer role based in Bradford, roles and responsibilities will include;
- Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts
- Ensure compliance with financial legislation and standards
- Partner with external stakeholders to provide a first-class financial service, assessing both opportunities and risks
- Provide financial insight and advice to the management team.
- Develop and implement effective financial policies and procedures
- Prepare detailed financial reports and statements.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making at management level
Profile
A successful Senior Finance Officer should have:
- Newly qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in management accounting and financial reporting
- Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with non-finance stakeholders
- Strong Excel skills
- Sector experience in education or non-profit is a plus, but not essential
- Detail oriented and analytical
