JHE & Partners are delighted to be working exclusively with a rapidly growing business in Bradford who are looking for an accounts assistant on a permanent basis. This is a superb opportunity for an accounts professional to join a small, finance team preparing accounts information, working with various teams across the business. Please note, this is a 100% office-based role.

Reporting into the company accountant, you will play a pivotal role in providing up to date information for the wider team, whilst contributing to an effective and smooth-running finance function.

Duties include:

  • Reconcile both the bank and online accounts on a monthly basis
  • Investigating and unearthing any anomalies having confidence to improve processes
  • Oversee company banking
  • Ensure the cash flows are accurately maintained
  • Assist with financial statement production, preparing reports and information accordingly
  • Preparing and presenting financial reports
  • Consult with the wider business, providing information on an ad hoc basis
  • Work across the finance team in busy periods

Person spec:

  • Solid Excel knowledge to pivot table, lookup and SUM If level
  • Team player with openness to work across a wide range if tasks
  • Good software / ERP knowledge
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise workloads
