Job Role: Workshop Foreman (Plant Hire Industry)
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
Salary: £49,500-£57,000 (£20ph-£23ph)
Hours: Monday-Friday 07.00-17:00Â
Job Type: Full time, PermanentÂ
The Client:
Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established and National plant hire firm to support the growth of their team. Our client, who have been established for over 30 years, have reached a stage of growth where they have opened a new depot and are looking for a workshop foreman to shape and lead a workshop from scratch. You’ll be supported by a dedicated team and given the tools to succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The Duties:
- Oversee day-to-day workshop operations, ensuring high standards of safety and efficiency
- Allocate and manage workloads for workshop staff
- Carry out pre-delivery inspections and fleet maintenance
- Perform both minor and major repairs on heavy plant equipment
- Liaise with the Hire Desk to ensure outgoing assets are ready and compliant
- Order parts through the internal system
- Maintain a clean, organised, and productive workshop environment
The Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Plant, Agricultural, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Strong background in heavy plant machinery
- Proven experience in managing a team and handling your own workload
- Computer literate – training provided on internal systems
- A proactive, hands-on leader who can build a workshop from the ground up
