Job: Project Quality Engineer (Highways / Infrastructure)
Location: West Yorkshire (Office-based)
Salary: £35,000-£45,000 depending on experience + package
My client is a leading main contractor and delivery partner for a major highways scheme. Due to a busy pipeline of works, they are looking for a Project Quality Engineer to join their West Yorkshire office. You must have experience within highways or civil engineering projects, with a strong appreciation of quality assurance, compliance and project documentation in the infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the production and management of scheme documentation including ITPs, CPPs, RAMS and permits.
- Support commercial teams with take-offs and Early Warning Notices (EWNs).
- Liaise with Principal Designers during Early Contractor Involvement (ECI).
- Coordinate with Agents and Project Managers on programming and delivery support.
- Submit and track Technical Queries (TQs) and RFIs via CEMAR.
- Ensure scheme documentation is properly maintained and closed out.
- Light use of AutoCAD for layouts and mark-ups.
- Maintain accurate digital records using MS Office Suite.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
- Experience in highways or civil infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance and project documentation.
- Commercial awareness with ability to support cost tracking.
- Confident communicator with both design and delivery teams.
- IT literate with AutoCAD knowledge.
- Familiarity with CEMAR or similar project management platforms.
- HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (minimum) - Degree desirable.
- CSCS/SMSTS desirable - support provided if not held.
