As a Pricing Analyst at Morrisons, you will play a vital role in supporting our pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness, drive sales, and optimise profitability across our extensive product range. You will work within a dynamic team, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to commercial, marketing, and finance stakeholders. This role is crucial in understanding market dynamics, competitor activity, and customer behaviour to inform our pricing decisions.
This position follows a 5 day working week, 3 days office based.
Our head office, Hilmore House, offers convenient amenities, including a subsidised on-site restaurant, coffee shop, convenience and sample store, a prayer room, free parking, and frequent company wide events and promotions. Applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance of our office.
Some of your responsibilities will include:

Analyse large datasets related to internal price, sales, costs, competitor pricing, market trends, and customer behaviour.

Develop and maintain pricing models and reports to monitor performance and identify opportunities or risks.

Translate complex data and analysis into clear, concise, and actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

Prepare and deliver reports to communicate findings and recommendations to various business functions.

Utilise pricing tools and systems to manage pricing data and execute pricing changes.

Own internal governance to policies and proposition guardrails to ensure we are always doing the right thing by our customers and are legally compliant.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has:

Proven ability to analyse large, complex datasets and extract meaningful insights.

Advanced Excel/Sheets skills and proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.

Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

An understanding of retail dynamics and how pricing impacts business performance.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data clearly.

A proactive and inquisitive mindset, with an eagerness to explore data and uncover insights.

A degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business, or Finance is desirable.

Previous experience in a data analysis, commercial analysis, or pricing-focused role, preferably within a retail or FMCG environment.
