A compassionate and dynamic Centre Manager / Charity Leader is needed to join the team at St Christopher's Community Centre based in Bradford on a full-time basis.
This is a pivotal opportunity to join a respected and well-established community charity as it enters an exciting new phase of growth and development. With a 30-year legacy and over 400 visitors every week, we are looking for someone who can bring energy, leadership and a strong sense of purpose to help build community, hope and opportunity for the people of Holmewood.
You'll be working alongside an experienced trustee board and a dedicated team of staff and volunteers to lead and shape the future of the newly merged organisation - combining the work currently delivered through the Family Centre and the Good Neighbours Project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clear strategic and day-to-day leadership across all aspects of St Christopher's Community Centre
- Work with trustees to develop a strong vision and strategy for the future
- Lead and support the delivery of activities for children, young people, families, and older people
- Inspire and manage a team of staff and volunteers, ensuring safeguarding and inclusive practices
- Manage budgets and oversee funding applications and reporting
- Build relationships and partnerships across the local voluntary and statutory sectors
- Maintain excellent communication and ensure the Centre's impact is clearly demonstrated
- Oversee operational systems and ensure legal compliance and good governance
- Work closely with trustees to keep the organisation sustainable and forward-looking
Required Skills:
- Significant leadership or management experience within a charity or voluntary organisation
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams and lead inclusive, people-focused services
- Experience of managing budgets, fundraising, and reporting to stakeholders
- Skilled in developing and delivering programmes for at least one of the Centre's core groups (older people, children and young people, or young families)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, can-do approach
- Knowledge of safeguarding and charity governance
- Ability to work collaboratively, flexibly, and independently
