Futures are looking to appoint a hands on Electrical Engineer to join our client based in West Yorkshire. The successful Electrical Engineer will specialise in panel wiring, testing, and some mechanical fitting for low- and medium-voltage power distribution products. This role combines practical shop-floor activities with technical problem-solving to ensure products meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical panel wiring and assembly in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Perform testing, inspection, and fault-finding on power distribution panels and related equipment.
  • Conduct mechanical fitting of electrical components, busbars, and enclosures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and quality procedures.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and reliability in panel building and testing processes.

Skills and qualification:

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Proven experience in panel wiring, electrical testing, and fitting within a manufacturing or power distribution environment.
  • Strong understanding of power distribution systems, electrical circuits, and control panels.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
