The role

Working with a well-established and highly reputable construction company we are seeking an experienced Solar PV Roofer/Installer on a permanent basis due to growth.

You will play a key role in the installation of solar photovoltaic systems on residential and commercial properties throughout Bradford and West Yorkshire. This is a permanent, full-time position with excellent opportunities for development within a rapidly expanding sector.

Duties and Person Specification

• Carry out the safe and efficient installation of roof-mounted solar PV systems.
• Fit mounting systems, rails, brackets, and solar panels to a range of roof types.
• Work closely with electricians to ensure installations are completed on schedule and to MCS standards.
• MUST be familiar with MCS solar installation.
• Conduct roof assessments prior to installation to ensure structural suitability.
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety procedures, including working at height regulations.
• Maintain accurate and clear site documentation and photographic records.
• Support other installation team members as required.
• Proven roofing (solar) experience (minimum 1–2 years).
• Previous experience installing solar PV systems.
• Working knowledge of MCS standards.
• Familiarity with DC cabling and coordination with electrical installers.
• Comfortable and competent working at height.
• Experience with various roof types including tiled, slate, and metal sheet.
• Full UK driving licence (clean or minimal points).
• CSCS card or equivalent construction site qualification.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to deadlines.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

IPAF and/or PASMA certification.

Working at Height and Asbestos Awareness training.
