Castlefield are assisting a well respected and diverse public sector organisation within West Yorkshire who are seeking an Assistant Finance Business Partner. This client is providing a crucial service that impacts the community in a positive manner. This would be the ideal role for someone with some experience in public sector finance that is seeking a move into a role that will offer them a perfect environment for development.
The successful candidate will receive a starting salary of c.£38,000 along with enhanced annual leave, access to a substantive local government pension scheme, CPD opportunities. They are currently operating a hybrid working policy with 2 days working from home.
The role:
- Provide a comprehensive and professional financial support service
- Take initiative on complex pieces of accountancy work and to support and advise services in achieving their objectives
- Develop good working relationships with colleagues to support the delivery of financial services and showing at all times professionalism and respect
- Prepare, analyse and interpret financial and other service performance information to influence and enable managers to make the correct operational decisions
The candidate:
- You will hold a CCAB qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA/CIPFA) or be studying towards
- You will possess experience of operating within a public sector organisation and have a working knowledge of Local Authority finance
- Possess knowledge of the current and emerging Government legislation & statutory regulations affecting Public Sector organisations
- You will possess high levels of report writing and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills will be advantageous
