Bennett and Game are working with a trusted name in road haulage, known for their commitment to service, safety, and supporting of drivers. They are currently expanding and exploring flexible work arrangements to attract experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers who may be seeking a better work-life balance or winding down from full-time driving. The role is based in Bradford.
Class 1 Drivers Job Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Up-to-date CPC and Tacho card
- Experience in a similar role (minimum 1 year preferred)
- Flexibility to work nights out and occasional weekends
Class 1 Drivers Salary & Benefits
- Guaranteed 45 hours Monday to Friday
- The hourly rate is 14.62 for the first 45 hours, its then 19.11 after. The drivers average 50-55 hours over the year
- Weekend and Bank Holiday pay at x1.3
- Dedicated vehicle (unless in for MOT/Service)
- Secure SNAP parking provided for overnight stays
- 20 days holiday + statutory holidays
- No daily allowance - straightforward pay and structure
- Flexible shift patterns considered, including: 4-day working week for experienced drivers looking to reduce hours
- Long weekend every other weekend (Tues-Sat, then Sun-Thurs rotating pattern)
- Overtime opportunities available where applicable
