Placing Leaders are a specialist Recruitment Company, recruiting Professionals within the façade and fenestration industry – ie. Curtain Walling, Glazing, Structural Glass and Cladding.

Our client who fabricate and install glazing and curtain walling to the Social Housing, residential and commercial construction industry are seeking an additional Estimator based at their offices in the West Yorkshire region.  You will be working in the companies Social Housing division .

You will be responsible for carrying out estimating and negotiating of Social Housing windows and doors contracts - these are likely to be mainly UPVC windows but may also include some Aluminium, Timber or Timber Composite windows projects. 

Duties are as follows;

Produce accurate tenders/quotations from Architects drawings and surveys to Socail Housing organisations, Private Individuals, Main Contractors, Councils and Social Landlords and others

Ability to source alternative and less expensive materials for specific contracts whilst maintaining quality and delivery requirements

Obtain quotes for Sub-Contract services 

Maintain and record tender details to database

Develop and maintain relationships with key customers

Answer Technical questions and offer Value Engineering solutions when necessary

Carry out negotiations with Main Contract Quantity Surveyors and offer value engineering ideas to maintain profitability of project

Attend pre-starts, design and on-going contract meetings where required

Produce target/special costs items to buying department

Price variation items specific to your project
