To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A degree in English or a related subject
  • Experience teaching English in a post 16 or secondary setting (GCSE/Functional Skills/A-Level)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A commitment to inclusive and learner-focused education
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
