Empowering Learning is working closely with a Secondary School in Bradford who are looking for a Design Technology Technician.
The job
- Equipment and materials:
Prepare, set up, and store equipment and materials for lessons, including cutting materials for projects.
- Maintenance:
Repair, maintain, and modify equipment. This can include anything from tools to complex machinery.
- Safety:
Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols and keeping equipment in safe working order.
- Stock management:
Organize and keep stock of equipment and consumables, handling procurement and inventory.
- Technical support:
Operate and maintain CAD software and hardware, and provide technical assistance or training to students and staff on these systems.
- Lesson support:
Assist teachers and students during practical lessons, helping them with their projects.
- Administrative tasks:
Handle administrative duties related to the D&T department.
