This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded law firm based in central Bradford. My client is currently seeking an experienced Claims Handler to join their busy team defending pre-litigation EL/PL Claims. The successful applicant will be experienced in working in Personal Injury Claims, specifically managing files within employers’ liability and public liability.

Duties will include:

Conduct defence of EL/PL claims for Personal Injury from the beginning of the claim up to but not including litigation.

Use of the MOJ EL/PL Portal.

Deal with opponents, experts, statutory bodies and client by e-mail, telephone and in writing.

Negotiate on issues of liability and quantum.

Pursue recovery of client’s losses, where appropriate, from third parties

Maintain accurate financial / reserve / risk management information on all claims

Comply with internal, client and procedural protocols

Ensure that personal objectives are reviewed and met.

Develop a good relationship with existing and potential clients ensuring that a high standard of client care in exercised at all times.

Provide good customer service to litigants in person.

Ensure that relevant training is carried out and keep up to date with relevant legislation and practice.

Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with SRA/Law Society Regulations.
