- Managing a caseload of children law matters from instruction to conclusion.
- Providing clear and compassionate legal advice to clients.
- Representing clients at court in care proceedings, supervision orders, and adoption matters.
- Preparing detailed applications, witness statements, and court reports.
- Liaising with local authorities, social workers, and guardians.
- Keeping up to date with legal developments in child protection law.
- Maintaining compliance with all regulatory and procedural requirements.
- Supporting junior colleagues and sharing knowledge as needed.
- Playing a part in business development and building strong client relationships.
- Keeping accurate, well-maintained file records in line with firm policy.
- Taking part in training, networking, and CPD activities.
- NQ to Senior level Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in children law.
- LAA Supervisor status would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Strong advocacy skills and confidence in handling contested hearings.
- A caring, client-focused approach and excellent communication skills.
