Production Manager - Bradford

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, you will ensure that the agreed operational strategy for the business maximises the output of all its assets in a safe and efficient manner, driving an ethos of continuous improvement which is motivated by a safety-first mind-set, whilst ensuring the delivery of a quality OTIF product. You will help build, train and develop the teams, ensuring that our processes are efficient, effective and safe, and our people are well trained, motivated and able to thrive and develop within their roles, now and in the future.

This is a Monday to Friday role 7 am to 4pm, however due to the level of the role flexibility will be required.

Responsibilities include:路 To develop a safety-first approach that ensures operations are conducted in manner which fully complies with strict Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental policies and all relevant legislative requirements路 Manage the warehouse and yard team to continually achieve and wherever possible exceed productivity, operating cost, customer service and quality target levels.路 Develop & embed through team-working a culture of continuous improvement.路 Identify areas for improvement and drive opportunities to reduce and eliminate waste.路 With head office support, recruit, train and develop the site team, managing its performance and reward, to maintain an effective workforce capable of meeting its current and projected objectives.路 Ensure all assets/machinery are maintained and operate at their optimum capability.路 Succession planning for the site.

Essential Skills and Qualifications for the role:路 Health and safety qualification, preferably NEBOSH.路 Demonstrable experience of leading an operational function with a proven track record of delivering results in a heavy industry/manufacturing/distribution environment路 Excellent management skills with the ability to engage, lead and train an empowered and skilled workforce.路 A hands-on approach, able to help fulfil orders using FLT/cranes etc when needed.路 Resilient, self-motivated and able to work well under pressure.路 A full UK Driving Licence.
