Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support ongoing and upcoming projects within the UK water sector. Working for a reputable contractor, you will be responsible for developing mechanical designs for water treatment projects across the full project lifecycle - from concept through to detailed design and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce mechanical designs, calculations, and technical documentation for water and wastewater infrastructure (pumps, pipework, valves, process plant, etc.)
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, electrical, and process engineers
Ensure designs comply with client specifications, UK Water Industry standards, and health & safety regulations
Participate in design reviews and technical meetings
Support site teams with technical input during installation and commissioning phases
