Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support ongoing and upcoming projects within the UK water sector. Working for a reputable contractor, you will be responsible for developing mechanical designs for water treatment projects across the full project lifecycle - from concept through to detailed design and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce mechanical designs, calculations, and technical documentation for water and wastewater infrastructure (pumps, pipework, valves, process plant, etc.)

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, electrical, and process engineers

  • Ensure designs comply with client specifications, UK Water Industry standards, and health & safety regulations

  • Participate in design reviews and technical meetings

  • Support site teams with technical input during installation and commissioning phases
