We are looking for a dedicated Metalwork Improver to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various metalworking processes, contribute to quality assurance, and help implement improvements to enhance our operations. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn and grow within the metalworking industry.
THE ROLE:
- Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of metal components.
- Operate metalworking machinery and tools, including saws and guillotines.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with experienced metalworkers to apply best practices and learn new techniques.
- Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Document processes and report any issues or suggestions for improvements.
THE CANDIDATE
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in metalworking or fabrication is preferred.
- Basic understanding of metalworking techniques and machinery operation.
- Hands-on experience with metal tools and equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
THE SALARY AND BENEFITS:
- 12.21 per hour to increase once trained and competent
