Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dual Skilled Technician (Electrical Bias) to join our client's engineering team within the Rail Rolling Stock industry based at their Depot in Allerton, Liverpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and repair activities on rolling stock and associated rail systems, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems. This role is essential to ensuring operational safety, reliability, and performance of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical components of rolling stock.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults
- Carry out mechanical tasks such as brake system servicing, coupler maintenance, and door mechanism adjustments.
- Interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and fault diagnostic tools.
- Complete maintenance records, job sheets, and update asset management systems.
- Work to strict safety standards and comply with all industry regulations and company policies.
- Participate in shift work and on-call duties as required, including night and weekend rotations.
- Support commissioning, modification, and upgrade projects when necessary.
- Liaise with other departments and engineers to resolve complex technical issues.

Required Skills and Experience:
- Recognised engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 4, City & Guilds, or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in a dual skilled maintenance role, ideally within the rail, transport, aerospace, or heavy engineering industries.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostics.
- Competent in mechanical fault-finding and repair.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to rail operations.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- IT literate
