Essential Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum for Music
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver outstanding Music lessons that inspire students
  • Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 teaching desirable)
  • Prepare students for GCSE Music and internal assessments
  • Promote a positive learning environment within the classroom
  • Support extracurricular music clubs, concerts, and performances
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • Assess, record, and report on student's progress regularly
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to plan cross-curricular activities
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and attainment
  • Organise and contribute to school musical productions and events
  • Take an active role in school life, contributing to the wider ethos
