Join Our Team as an Experienced Optical Lab Technician

We are a well-established independent optician seeking an experiencedOptical Lab Technicianto provide exceptional customer service and eyewear experiences.


Key Responsibilities

Lens Cutting and Fitting: Accurately cut, shape, inspect and fit lenses into frames using specialised equipment, ensuring they meet prescription and quality standards.

Frame Adjustments and Repairs: Perform frame adjustments and minor repairs to ensure a comfortable and correct fit for patients.

Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality control by checking each completed order to ensure it meets company and industry standards before delivering to patients.

Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain lab equipment, ensuring that all machinery is in good working condition and reporting any technical issues promptly.

Inventory Management: Monitor and manage lab supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for lenses, frames, and other necessary materials.

Patient Support: Interact with patients directly, assisting with frame adjustments, dispensing eyewear, and providing advice on lens care and maintenance, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Collaboration: Work closely with the optometrists, optical advisors, and other team members to ensure the timely delivery of eyewear and a smooth patient experience


Requirements

  • Previous optical experience is essential
  • Proven track record in sales and customer service
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A passion for style and attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic, charismatic, and positive attitude

Schedule

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week (including some weekends)
