Our client a leading global firm is recruiting for an Analyst within S&T Settlements, to join a dynamic team that values innovation, collaboration, and efficient execution.
This opportunity is on an initial 6-month contract basis and will be seeking an individual with a strong background in dealing with payments ideally from within commodities settlements or energy trading sector.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Reconcile and confirm cash settlement for all executed S&T traded commodities, including derivatives and physical transactions (NatGas, Power, Oil, Sustainability) within the company's Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems.
- Transmit cash instructions to the Finance team (AP/AR).
- Liaise with counterparties and internal teams such as Front Office, Contracts, and Middle Office to resolve settlement discrepancies.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring all trade economics and discrepancies are thoroughly investigated and resolved.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, managing all cash flows and associated risks related to derivative & physical transactions across a global client base.
- Maintain a Settlement shared outlook mailbox, responding timely with accurate information to both external and internal customers.
- Assist in providing information relating to SOX controls with Internal/External Auditors.
- Communicate efficiently with business partners, team members, and Management.
- Train and assist junior staff.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree level or equivalent level qualification.
- 2-4 years’ experience in Commodities Settlement is preferable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, and Outlook.
- Innovative in providing and addressing business needs in a changing environment.
