This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner ready to take on greater responsibility and play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1.
The Role - KS1 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
As a KS1 HLTA working through Academics, you will:
- Lead small group interventions and deliver planned lessons in the teacher's absence.
- Support the class teacher in planning, preparing, and assessing learning activities.
- Help create an engaging, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Foster pupils' independence, confidence, and love of learning.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other staff to ensure every child thrives.
About You
To be considered for this KS1 HLTA position, you should have:
- Proven experience supporting teaching and learning in a Key Stage 1 setting.
- HLTA status or an equivalent Level 4 qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
- Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
- The confidence to lead groups and deliver pre-planned lessons independently.
- A genuine passion for helping young children achieve their full potential.
