Futures are working with a well known manufacturing business and due to a period of continued growth are looking to appoint a Testing Engineer. As Testing Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the performance of the full company product range through comprehensive testing, diagnostics, and repair. The position plays a key part in maintaining quality standards, supporting project delivery, and driving safe, efficient operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Undertake protection system updates, adjustments, and modifications as required.
  • Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and conduct troubleshooting activities across all relevant equipment.
  • Test and inspect high voltage equipment
  • Provide on-site technical support when required, ensuring work is completed safely and to the highest standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of test results, modifications, and repair activities.

Skills and qualifications

  • A background in the testing and commissioning high voltage equipment
  • Recognised electrical qualifications and strong understanding of current electrical regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Solid understanding of Health & Safety practices, including risk assessments and safe working procedures.
  • Strong communication abilities, with clear and effective written and verbal skills.
  • Collaborative approach with experience working alongside wider operations teams.
  • High attention to detail with an organised, methodical way of working.
