Indirect Buyer

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading West Yorkshire based client to recruit for an Indirect Buyer.

Purpose of job:

• Take ownership for identifying and driving cost saving initiatives throughout the group on all Indirect spend.
• To be responsible for the daily management of Indirect categories
• Consult with Internal stakeholders where appropriate to understand their requirements for services
• Extract and analyse data to identify opportunities to drive value or consolidate suppliers in the category.
• Maintain good relationships.

Key Skills and Experience required:

• Proven experience in indirect procurement, ideally with exposure to IT, Technology or Professional Services categories.
• Demonstrated success leading end-to-end sourcing activities, from market analysis and supplier selection to tendering and negotiation.
• Strong understanding of strategic procurement principles
• Confident negotiator with working knowledge of contract law and commercial agreements
