About the RoleWe are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Bradford on a full-time basis, starting ASAP. This role offers the chance to teach students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to contribute to curriculum development and enrichment programmes.

Essential Qualifications:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Excellent subject knowledge of English Language and Literature
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Main Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
- Plan, prepare and evaluate teaching strategies in line with curriculum objectives
- Set homework and classwork that supports progression
- Mark works regularly and provides constructive feedback
- Track student progress and set individual targets
- Promote a love for reading and writing across the curriculum
- Contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work
- Support GCSE preparation and interventions
- Attend parents' evenings and report on student progress
- Attend departmental and whole-school meetings
- Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and equality
