About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Bradford on a full-time basis, starting ASAP. This role offers the chance to teach students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to contribute to curriculum development and enrichment programmes.

Essential Qualifications:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Excellent subject knowledge of English Language and Literature
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

  • Set homework and classwork that supports progression
  • Mark works regularly and provides constructive feedback
  • Track student progress and set individual targets
  • Promote a love for reading and writing across the curriculum
  • Contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work
  • Support GCSE preparation and interventions
  • Attend parents' evenings and report on student progress
  • Attend departmental and whole-school meetings
  • Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and equality
