Essential Qualifications:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Strong subject knowledge of the English curriculum at KS3 and KS4
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
• Plan engaging and differentiated lessons aligned with the national curriculum
• Prepare students for GCSE English Language and Literature assessments
• Mark work and provide effective feedback in a timely manner
• Monitor and track student progress using school systems
• Contribute to curriculum planning and development
• Uphold school policies on behaviour, safeguarding, and equal opportunities
• Promote a love of reading and language across the school
• Participate in school events and whole-school activities
