This is an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Social Worker to join the Adults Safeguarding Team in Bradford on a Full-Time basis. What you will do:

- Undertake social work practice with a non-judgemental approach, upholding social work values and safeguarding individuals' rights in line with legal frameworks, such as the Care Act 2014 and the Human Rights Act 1998.
- Uphold human rights as an expert in mental capacity, enabling positive risk-taking and ensuring decisions are made in a timely, well-documented manner.
- Engage effectively with complex situations, ensuring that individuals' wishes, feelings, and beliefs remain central to decision-making.
- Uphold individuals' rights to control and exercise choice through creative support planning, connecting people to natural support networks.
- Assist in developing new resources and working on specialist projects or service planning groups.
- Make use of legislation to safeguard adults at risk of abuse, acting as an investigating officer under the West Yorkshire Safeguarding procedures.
- Provide evidence to court and other bodies as required, ensuring people's rights to judicial review and advocacy are upheld.
- Participate in professional development activities to meet Social Work England standards.
- Support and mentor newly qualified staff and volunteers, contributing to practice development and the learning of others.
- Engage in inter-professional work, representing organisational perspectives and promoting information sharing between agencies.
