The Role:

As a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant, your primary duty will be to support students with various needs, which may include SEMH, Autism, or complex learning difficulties. You will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to help students engage with learning.
  • Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and accessible classroom.
  • Help to implement individual education and behaviour plans.
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment.

What You Will Need:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs is essential.
  • A patient, calm, and caring nature.
  • The ability to build trusting relationships with students quickly.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or the willingness to apply for one.
