The ideal candidate will have a strong background in upholstery work, demonstrating proficiency in both hand and power tools, as well as sewing and fabrication techniques. The Upholsterer will be responsible for creating, repairing, and refurbishing upholstered furniture and other items to meet high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for upholstery tasks

Measure, cut, and sew fabric according to specifications

Assemble furniture components and ensure proper fitting of upholstery

Repair damaged upholstery and replace worn-out materials

Maintain a clean and organised workspace within the warehouse

Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines

Follow safety protocols while handling heavy materials and equipment

Qualifications

Experience with hand tools and power tools is essential

Proficiency in sewing techniques, particularly for upholstery fabrics

Familiarity with fabrication processes relevant to furniture assembly

Previous warehouse experience is advantageous

Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role
