Fire Engineer
Location: Colchester (Hybrid)

Prime Appointments is partnering with an industry leading expert to recruit a talented Fire Engineer for their growing team based near Colchester. This senior-level position reports directly to the Head of Operations and focuses on delivering cutting-edge fire safety strategies for existing buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth fire safety inspections and deliver detailed reports with practical recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with current legislation and standards (e.g., ADB, BS 9997)
  • Design and implement retrospective fire safety strategies for existing structures
  • Identify risks and provide cost-effective, innovative solutions
  • Drive the adoption of new fire safety services and emerging technologies
  • Work closely with diverse teams to integrate fire safety solutions seamlessly

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Fire Engineering or a related discipline (essential)
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it (preferred)
  • Proven expertise in fire engineering, consultancy, or risk assessment
  • Deep understanding of fire safety regulations and compliance standards
  • Ability to lead technically and provide expert advice to clients
  • Experience with heritage buildings, high-rise structures, or complex projects (a plus)
  • Strong skills in fire strategy development, stakeholder collaboration, and regulatory adherence
