Prime Appointments is partnering with an industry leading expert to recruit a talented Fire Engineer for their growing team based near Colchester. This senior-level position reports directly to the Head of Operations and focuses on delivering cutting-edge fire safety strategies for existing buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth fire safety inspections and deliver detailed reports with practical recommendations
- Ensure compliance with current legislation and standards (e.g., ADB, BS 9997)
- Design and implement retrospective fire safety strategies for existing structures
- Identify risks and provide cost-effective, innovative solutions
- Drive the adoption of new fire safety services and emerging technologies
- Work closely with diverse teams to integrate fire safety solutions seamlessly
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Fire Engineering or a related discipline (essential)
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it (preferred)
- Proven expertise in fire engineering, consultancy, or risk assessment
- Deep understanding of fire safety regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to lead technically and provide expert advice to clients
- Experience with heritage buildings, high-rise structures, or complex projects (a plus)
- Strong skills in fire strategy development, stakeholder collaboration, and regulatory adherence
