Machinist - Howick CNC Operator
Location: Braintree, Essex
Shifts: 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm
A well-established manufacturing facility in Braintree is currently looking for a skilled Machinist to join their busy production team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone experienced in CNC machinery-particularly Howick systems-to secure a full-time position with competitive pay and long-term prospects.
Key Responsibilities of the CNC Machine Operator:
Set up and operate a Howick CNC machine for cold-rolled steel framing
Load materials and handle finished components efficiently
Monitor machine operations to ensure consistency and product quality
Perform basic maintenance and machine adjustments as needed
Conduct routine checks to maintain safety and performance standards
Adhere to all health and safety procedures on the shop floor
Pay & Benefits of the CNC Machine Operator :
Hourly pay ranging from 18.00 to 23.00, depending on experience
Full-time role with consistent hours and overtime opportunities

Ideal Candidate Profile of the CNC Machine Operator :
Previous experience operating and setting CNC machines, preferably Howick or similar systems
Good understanding of CNC programming principles and machine operation
Confident in identifying and resolving machine issues proactively
Capable of working independently and managing tasks effectively
High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
Immediate availability is a strong advantage
