An established and growing manufacturer in the industrial sector is seeking a dedicated Production Operator - PM shift to join their team in Braintree. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality production output while adhering to safety and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow safe working practices in line with company procedures.
- Select and prepare materials as per production documentation.
- Operate compression moulding and extrusion machinery to produce components.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards; 5S experience is a plus.
- Meet tight production deadlines and ensure quality workmanship.
- Accurately complete and process production paperwork and system records.
- Proactively identify material shortages and inform relevant departments.
- Support production planning to meet customer delivery deadlines.
- Participate in team meetings and communicate operational updates effectively.
- Be flexible in supporting other areas of the production process as needed.
Key Requirements:
- Manual handling capability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and a methodical work approach.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred, but not essential.
- Ability to read technical drawings is an advantage.
