An established and growing manufacturer in the industrial sector is seeking a dedicated Production Operator - PM shift to join their team in Braintree. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality production output while adhering to safety and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow safe working practices in line with company procedures.
  • Select and prepare materials as per production documentation.
  • Operate compression moulding and extrusion machinery to produce components.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards; 5S experience is a plus.
  • Meet tight production deadlines and ensure quality workmanship.
  • Accurately complete and process production paperwork and system records.
  • Proactively identify material shortages and inform relevant departments.
  • Support production planning to meet customer delivery deadlines.
  • Participate in team meetings and communicate operational updates effectively.
  • Be flexible in supporting other areas of the production process as needed.

Key Requirements:

  • Manual handling capability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and a methodical work approach.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred, but not essential.
  • Ability to read technical drawings is an advantage.
