We are currently recruiting an experienced Agency Chef to support school catering services in the Braintree area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled chef who enjoys flexible working and making a positive impact in a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve nutritious meals for pupils and staff
Follow pre-set menus and adapt to dietary requirements
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety
Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Step in to cover sickness, holidays, or staff shortages
Requirements:
Previous experience as a chef (school or contract catering preferred)
Valid Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above)
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Ability to hit the ground running and work independently
Reliable, punctual, and professional
