Academics is delighted to be working with a highly-regarded secondary school located in Braintree, Essex. This inclusive school has a strong Good rating from Ofsted and is well known for its supportive leadership, outstanding pastoral care, and a collaborative working environment. They are now seeking a passionate and proactive SENCo to join their team from September 2025.

The successful SENCo will lead the development and implementation of the SEND strategy across the school, working closely with students, parents, and staff to ensure every learner receives the tailored support they need to thrive.

This is a full-time role.

The successful SENCo will have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • The National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo) or willingness to work towards it

  • Experience working in a secondary school setting

  • A solid understanding of EHCP processes and current SEND legislation

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
