We are looking for an experienced and driven Production Supervisor to oversee the afternoon shift operations. This key leadership role is responsible for guiding a high-performing team to meet production targets while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The Production Lead will ensure that all processes align with the company operational goals and EH&S policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example, promoting a safe, efficient, and organized work environment

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards to meet customer satisfaction goals

  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and lead the team to meet or exceed targets

  • Coordinate with planning, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure smooth workflow

  • Deliver effective shift briefings focused on quality, cost, and delivery performance

  • Manage performance through coaching, appraisals, and team motivation

  • Identify and implement corrective actions to address production non-conformities

  • Champion lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement

  • Drive implementation of new processes, engineering changes, and product trials

  • Conduct incident investigations and enforce company absence control policies

  • Support training and development of team members in product and process knowledge

Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree preferred, HNC, City & Guilds Licentiateship, BTec Higher Professional Diploma, NVQ level 4
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment

  • Strong people management skills with a focus on team development and motivation

  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities

  • Effective communicator, capable of building strong relationships across teams

  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods

  • Competency in using manufacturing and reporting systems; computer literate

  • Flexible and adaptable, with a resilient approach to challenges

Hours:

Monday to Friday: 4pm-12am
