Learning Support Assistant
Pay: 110-120 per day

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work with a student diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in a secondary school. The student requires tailored support outside of the traditional classroom setting, including 1:1 interventions and assistance with completing work in alternative environments.

Learning Support Assistant Role:
* Provide consistent 1:1 support to the student throughout the school day
* Deliver structured interventions outside the classroom to help the student engage with learning
* Support the student in managing transitions, emotional regulation, and focus
* Collaborate with teaching staff and SENCO to adapt learning materials and strategies
* Maintain accurate records of progress and behaviour
* Foster a positive, trusting relationship with the student to encourage independence and confidence


Learning Support Assistant Requirements:
* Experience working with children with ASD and ADHD (school-based experience preferred)
* Enhanced DBS on the update service.
* Understanding of behaviour management strategies and sensory needs
* Ability to work flexibly and respond to the student's changing needs
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, experience with SEN secondary students.
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
