The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified teacher to lead our Technology Department, which includes Design Technology, Food Technology, and Engineering. You will be responsible for raising achievement, developing curriculum plans, and ensuring outstanding teaching and learning across the subject areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Technology department, supporting staff development and performance.
Develop and implement an innovative and engaging curriculum across KS3 to KS5.
Monitor and track student progress to ensure high achievement.
Promote the use of new technologies and practical learning experiences.
Oversee department budgeting, resources, and health & safety compliance in workshops.
Work closely with SLT to support whole-school priorities and enrichment activities.
What We're Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Technology at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Strong leadership skills and experience in a departmental or coordinator role
A passion for design, innovation, and student achievement
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding
