We are seeking dedicated and experienced Children's Support Workers to join our team for temporary ad hoc shifts across a variety of children's home placements. The role involves supporting vulnerable young people in a residential setting.

Job Description

Position: Children's Support Worker - Ad Hoc ShiftsLocation: Brecon and various other locationsType: Temporary, Ad Hoc

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and care for vulnerable young people.
  • Assist with daily routines, activities, and personal care.
  • Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for the children.
  • Implement care plans and follow safeguarding procedures.
  • Build positive relationships with young people and promote their well-being.
  • Document observations and report any concerns or incidents.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and communicate with other professionals.

Shift patterns vary, from afternoons, mornings - both can be rolled up into long days if available.

Requirements
  • Driving Licence: Must hold a valid UK driving licence.
  • Business Insurance: Must have business insurance added to vehicle policy.
  • Enhanced DBS: Must possess an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Restraint Training: Must be restraint trained or wiling to undertake a course provided by Randstad.
  • Social Care Wales Registration: Must be registered with Social Care Wales.
  • Residential Experience: Essential residential experience supporting vulnerable young people.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different placements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
