Job Description:

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER REQUIREDin Brentwood, Essex and East of England

Rate for the CONSTRUCTION MANAGER:45,000 - 60,000 p/a (DOE)

Role:Construction Manager needed to oversee building projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of construction, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Main Duties of the Site Manager:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Liaise with the management team, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth communication and project progression.
  • Oversee procurement of materials and equipment required for construction activities.
  • Monitor progress regularly, resolve any issues that arise promptly, and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and promote a culture of safety among all team members.
  • Review technical drawings and specifications; provide guidance on all aspects of the development.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • CSCS Black Card, SMSTS, Fire Marshall, First Aid
  • Proven experience in construction management with a strong understanding of building processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster collaboration.
